ALS Support Services and Community Engagement:
The Greater Utah ALS Support Group offers a vital platform for individuals affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their caregivers to come together in a supportive environment. Meeting every second Tuesday of the month, this group provides an opportunity to share experiences, gain practical advice, and access resources tailored to living with ALS. Our sessions include discussions on symptom management, navigating daily challenges, and updates on ALS research and advocacy efforts. By fostering a sense of community, the ALS United Rocky Mountain aims to empower attendees through education, support, and the shared goal of advancing ALS care and research.
Support groups provide opportunities to share personal experiences and to learn more about living with ALS. Meetings are open to all patients, family, and concerned others. They are designed to share information as well as strategies for preserving the independence and quality of life of both people with ALS and their caregivers, and address the social, emotional and mental challenges of living with this disease.
An email reminder will be sent to support group members with the Zoom link and instructions on how to join within a week prior to each group. If you have questions or need the link, please contact the care coordinator.
