Explore ALS 101: Your Guide to Living with ALS

The ALS 101 Intro to ALS United Webinar Series, hosted by ALS United Rocky Mountain, is an essential resource for individuals who have been recently diagnosed with ALS, as well as their families. These workshops are designed to provide a comprehensive overview of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), covering everything from symptoms, diagnosis, and management strategies to navigating insurance, funding options, and planning for the future. Conducted online for ease of access, the sessions feature knowledgeable medical professionals, including Dr. Alex Dietz, and cover crucial topics such as adaptive equipment, mobility solutions, and much more. By joining the ALS 101 webinar series, participants will gain valuable insights and tools to manage and thrive despite the challenges of ALS, supported by the compassionate community and expertise of ALS United Rocky Mountain.

While facing the challenges of living with ALS, it is important to remember that you are not alone. We would like to invite you and your family to join ALS 101, a comprehensive four-part workshop. This series aims to offer information, resources, and address any questions you may have about ALS, as well as how ALS United Rocky Mountain can provide support.

The workshops will take place on four consecutive Fridays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, conducted online via Zoom for the safety and accessibility of all participants.

Feb 9th – Intro to ALS United- Meet the staff of ALS United Rocky Mountain and learn about the services we provide along with recommendations for newly diagnosed patients and useful sections of our web page. Dr. Alex Dietz, medical director of the ALS clinic at the National Jewish Hospital will be available to answer questions.

Feb 16th – Ask the Experts- We will feature knowledgeable medical professionals who will discuss adaptive equipment and mobility solutions. They will be available to address any questions you may have regarding mobility issues.

Feb 23rd – Funding & Insurance- We will delve into crucial topics such as insurance, funding options, Medicare, and advanced directives.

March 1st – Planning Ahead- We will discuss essential aspects of preparing for change, emphasizing strategies and insights to navigate transitions effectively.
