Partnering with ALS Clinics Across the Region: A Commitment to Compassionate, Comprehensive Care

At ALS United Rocky Mountain, one of the most impactful ways we fulfill our mission is through our strong partnerships with ALS multidisciplinary clinics throughout Colorado and Utah. These ALS clinics provide a coordinated, team-based approach to ALS care—bringing together neurologists, respiratory therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, social workers, dietitians, and others in one place to provide holistic support to people living with ALS and their families.

As the local organization of the ALS United network, we are proud to be an essential part of this team. Our Care Services staff attend each clinic in person as care personnel and dedicated support professionals. We meet one-on-one with every person living with ALS and their family members to help guide them through the complexities of the disease and connect them to the services, equipment, financial aid, and education they need. From navigating insurance and equipment loans to making home modifications or finding caregiver support, our presence at the clinic ensures that no patient walks alone on their ALS journey.

We currently support the following multidisciplinary ALS clinics:

  • National Jewish Health ALS Clinic (Denver, CO)
  • University of Colorado ALS Clinic (Aurora, CO)
  • University of Utah ALS Clinic (Salt Lake City, UT)
  • Advance Neurology of Colorado ALS Clinic (Fort Collins, CO)
  • Kaiser Permanente ALS Clinic (Denver, CO)

Our partnership goes far beyond showing up for clinic days. We act as the central point of contact between families and the broader ALS care community. We coordinate follow-up services, maintain communication with healthcare providers, and help patients understand and access everything available to them through both their clinic and ALS United Rocky Mountain. When families leave the clinic, they don’t leave us—we stay involved to ensure continuity of care and proactive planning for whatever comes next.

We’re also deeply proud to partner with the University of Colorado ALS Clinic in hosting our annual ALS Educational Symposium. This signature event brings together top experts in ALS care to present cutting-edge information and practical guidance to people living with ALS, caregivers, and health professionals. By working closely with the University of Colorado team, we ensure that this event is grounded in clinical excellence and real-world patient needs.

We were honored to recently present a commemorative plaque to the University of Utah ALS Clinic, recognizing their continued collaboration and dedication to ALS care. Whether it’s helping a newly diagnosed individual understand what’s ahead, offering emotional support to a caregiver, or troubleshooting a complex insurance issue, we are there—every step of the way. Supporting our ALS clinics is one of the most essential parts of what we do, and we are honored to work alongside these outstanding clinical teams to deliver the highest quality care possible.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected ALS community—one that meets people where they are and walks with them through the most challenging moments of their lives.
